For today’s ride I went to the other end of the SoPac Trail.

First I went to the University Crossing Trail and then the Ridgewood Trail.  Then I got onto SoPac Trail.  But this time instead of heading south I went north. Then I kept going on the SoPac Trail and there was so much shade and a lot of nature.  There was a bridge and on one side there was a big creek which I think is the White Rock Creek, and on the other side there was a busy street.  From the bridge I could see one of my favorite restaurants—Mariano’s.

I got to the end of the trail where there was a downhill turn around so I went there and tried to turn around.  Also near there was Moss Park which I saw from a distance. Also right at the U-turn I could see the tennis courts at Royal Oaks Country Club.

I turned around and went back on the SoPac Trail.  On the way back I saw some walls that were painted.  My dad said it was not good stuff that was painted on the walls. (But there wasn’t any cussing.) So I Won’t put a picture.

We started in the morning, but it was starting to get hot, and I was happy that there is a lot of shade on this trail.  Right at the end of the SoPac Trail, I stopped for a drink of water.  Then I set a goal to not stop for the rest of the ride.  My teacher, Ms. Johnson, says it’s important to set goals, and I met this one.

I rode on the Ridgewood and University Crossing trails and got home. On the University Crossing Trail, during the Badlands I saw a bunch of cacti.

I rode 11.23 miles and had an average speed of 8.9 miles per hour.  It was my fastest ride yet.
