For today’s ride I went to the new, cool side of the SoPac Trail.  I went early in the morning so it wasn’t so hot but it was sunny.

First I rode to the University Crossing Trail and then the Ridgewood.  Then I went down the hill and turned right instead of left.

I got onto the SoPac Trail and then I went to the part that used to be blocked off but isn’t anymore.  It was blocked off two days ago so this was the second day that people could ride on it.

I rode down the trail for about 2 miles and got to a bridge where I could take a shortcut that leads you to the White Rock Lake.    Then we crossed the bridge and went to a part where there were a lot of different ways you could go.  My dad chose a way to go, which took us to a street, and then we rode for a little bit on the street until we saw where we could walk our bikes on some grass and rocks to get back onto the trail.

On the way back there was a house that had a longhorn statue in their backyard.

I kept going and got to the bridge then I rode to shortcut way and went and looked at the lake and took a picture.

I came back and there was a really really big hill and it was probably bigger than the one on the Dallas Bike Works ride.   I rode back up the SoPac Trail to the big hill at the end of the Ridgewood Trail.  I went up that hill and got onto the Ridgewood Trail.  I took that to the University Crossing Trail.

Right after the Badlands I turned and went to a little part of the trail for about 0.1 miles.  I did that so I could keep going and go to get a Rusty Taco.  So I kept going and went around about 0.3 miles and went to Rusty Taco on University Blvd.  I got what I usually get which is two bacon and egg tacos with no cheese.  When I finished my tacos, I rode on the sidewalk of a few busy streets to get home.

Altogether I rode 10.85 miles.
