For today’s ride I went to the Northhaven Trail.
First I went to the University Crossing Trail, then the Ridgewood Trail, then the SoPac Trail, then I got onto the Flagpole Hill Trail, finally I got to the White rock Creek Trail.
I was on the White Rock Creek Trail for very very long time. Early on my way on the White Rock Creek Trail, I passed RP Brooks Park. So I got off my bike to go take a closer look at it. It had a really cool tile wall that I liked a lot!
I kept going and passed the Fair Oaks Tennis Center. That was the farthest I’ve ever gone on this trail and I had not seen anything past that point on this trail.
At one point I was passing by the White Rock Creek, and on the railing I saw a big spiderweb with a large spider on it.
I went through Moss Park and then went underneath Greenville Avenue. The path turned and started going next to Royal Lane.
Still on the White Rock Creek Trail, I went through Northwood Park and there were a bunch of people playing soccer there. I stopped to watch for a couple minutes.
After that park, the path started going downhill and it went under a bridge and came out at a park called Orbiter Park.
I kept going and went underneath the highway and and went behind some stores and then underneath another road. I finally got off the White Rock Creek Trail and was right by Medical City hospital. I had been on the White Rock Creek Trail a long time and was glad to finally be getting off of it!
We wound around on the sidewalk to go next to Forest Lane, which was really busy. We were on that sidewalk for a block or two. Then I crossed Forest and went into a neighborhood and up a hill and was on a street for a really really really long time. I rode on this street until I got to the Northhaven trail.
I rode the Northhaven Trail west all the way to Preston Road. It was pretty flat and there were a lot of people walking their dogs on it. At Preston Road I turned around and rode the trail back to Edgemere. I got off the trail there.
From there I rode south back to my home. I passed Preston Hollow Park and had a long wait at Northwest Highway to cross the road. I was getting really tired at that point and was getting very anxious to get home. So I rode home through SMU to get home as quickly as I could.
My total miles was 17.78 miles for this ride. It was easily my longest ride yet.
